The Heart Of A Champion Is Gold

Ever wished you could be a champion?

I was watching this realityTV show called The Contender. Its about 16 men coming from different backgrounds all over america and they are trying to get a shot at been a champion. The 16 men are all boxers.

During the 1 hour that i was glued to the TV, there was a fight between 2 men. One of them is ranked 3rd in America while the other is not ranked anywhere. The one who is ranked is Peter Malfrado Jr.

He fought this guy called Joey. Joey is not a professional but he inspires to become one. During the fight, Joey was losing all the way until the 3rd round. He fought back with such courage and valour. He broke his rib in the 1st round, his nose was gone in the 2nd round and yet he still fought.

Came 3rd and 4th round, Joey won back the 2 rounds. Joey and Malfrado Jr are now even.
The 5th and final round... Malfrado Jr gave Joey a head butt. This caused Joey's upper left eyebrown to bleed. The fight was stopped.

The results is that Joey lost the fight and Malfrado Jr won.

What made Joey different from the other losers in the game is that he gave his best and he didn't give up. Seeing Joey box, i know that Joey went down fighting with all he could.

Who will have the heart? Who will have the courage? Who will dare to be great?
Joey did... That is the heart of gold...
